    Not what I was expecting given its proximity to Shockoe Bottom. This place is a relic in a quickly changing area of the city and it feels old and out of place. I was there at 8pm on a Friday and there were already some folks over-served. And if you feel like enjoying some food or drinks on the tiny front porch be prepared to be surrounded by chain smokers (and not the band). They did have some good live music and the food was all okay. The waitress was nice and attentive, but not somewhere I'd ever have to go back to.

    I have visited this establishment a few times. Food is usually decent. Today’s experience was unheard of. Three people ordered a simple dish of hamburger and onion rings/fries. Over 50 minutes later no food. No follow up. Then the waiter happened to say that there was a glitch with the system and the print outs to the chef didn’t work, but assured our food was on the way. . No biggie stuff happens. Ten minutes later no food to us but to a other patrons that arrived 15 minutes after us. I’m about to blow my mind. I express my unhappiness and ready to leave. The waiter stated it’s coming out right now. 6 minutes later he arrives with the burgers and one was so over cooked it was sent back and asked not to return it since we couldn’t wait longer then we have for another dish. Horrible experience, no communication and no effort to smooth things over. I don’t expect free stuff but a discount would have gone a long way after an unacceptable wait time with a burger order screwed up.

    Great little pub. They have live music and good piped in music when no live acts. They have cider offerings with at least one unusual flavor. Always on the lookout for good ciders. The food is good and fairly quick. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall a chill vibe where can hang and make new friends. Or just be chill if want be left alone.

    Food is DELICIOUS. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Casual pub with open space & TVs if you need to watch a game. Tip: House made honey mustard is super good too.

    A unique and fun place, excellent food, great service! My first trip to the Pub, can't wait to go back! We got Pimiento Cheese with pita chips and Cabbage and Corned Beef Rolls - oh my goodness! Both so good! Good sized portions, plenty to share. Lots of great things to look at & enjoy in there, we want to go back for live music. I can recommend this as a great place for a quick bite, dinner, and someplace really cool to bring out of town guests!
